Hamptons Shingle Style
Fairway, KS
PWA was commissioned to design this new house in Fairway, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City.
Our plan for this Shingle Style house is a seamless blend of tradition with a 21st Century contemporary life-style, and features an open floorplan maximizing daylight and the lovely views to the Country Club across the street. The 1-1/2-story 4 bedroom house features hardwood floors to the living areas, the spaces finished in simple paintwork in blues and white.
Working within the restrictions of local zoning, we were able to reduce the overall scale and massing of the building by detaching one bay of the 3-car garage.
